Hemibloggiversary
Six months and five days ago my pals brought forth a new blog, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that there should be a corner of the web where we may spout right-wing opinions while our guests sip coffee and maybe munched a cookie. We still don't really have the coffee or cookie thing worked out.

Wer'e very happy to have earned a few readers, and even some commenters. We'll try not to bore you in the next six months.
Comments:
Okay...but will you and the rest of the Coffeehouse folks bore me and countless others six months and one day from now?

{I think not!)

Way to go! Keep it up! (and buy a new coffeemaker, while you're at it)

In which David comes off sounding like a pompous ass:

Congratulations! Six months is nothing to sneeze at... like a marriage, that is usually the period that spells future bliss or splitsville.

I've been meaning to add you to my blogroll for some time now... so consider that my Hemibloggiversary gift.

Keep up the good work.

Torontopearl: thanks.

Irina: The old coffeemaker is working fine. The problem is with the C++ code I'm writing to get it to pour out of your computer. I've given up on trying to get it out of the USB port, and am now trying to send it out of the speakers.

David: Wow! Thanks! You have like a bizillion readers and a Google rank of 5. WE'RE NOT WORTHY!!! [prostrating self]

You may have overstated my traffic by one or two visitors... and I'm not sure how you arrived at my google rating... but your sarcasm is oddly comforting. :-)

David: You can get Google's PageRank of various pages by downloading the Google tool bar to your browser. PageRank is a number from 1 to 10 that is Google's measure of the page's importance.

The sarcasm was only partial. I do think of treppenwitz as a model of successful blogging. Thanks for the link.
