Tel Aviv Suicide Bombing Kills Several
Fatah blames Hezbollah. Will it affect the current "truce"? The accelerated Gaza pullout?
Comments:
Welcome to "Truce, Palestinian syle".

How come I'm not surprised?

There are actually some surprising differences between this story and every previous Palestinian suicide terror bomb story. First of all it took forever for anyone to take “credit”. Usually some group claims credit immediately. This time they knew that the group that put their hand up would likely get it cut off, either by Israel or by the PA, which has been under increasing pressure by the US to help fight against terror. (I realize that this is like pressuring frogs to fight against the color green, but I assume our administration knows that too, and in any case, it seems to be working.) Also, the PA actually arrested some suspects. Their efforts might be bogus, but at least they show that they are responding to Israeli and US pressure. Also, the Palestinian groups pointing the finger at Syria is a sure sign of fraying relations between the PA and Syria which isolates Syria further.

I'm confused.

If it was Hezbollah(Lebanese, Shiite militants) who was behind the bomb, why does that tell us anything about the intentions of the Palestenians?

Or are ytou suggesting that Hezbollah answers to Abbas?

DovBear: See the new post I just put up. (I wasn't there when you were composing your comment.) (Also, as far as I know, Hizb'Allah answers to Syria.)
