All we are saying...
...is give Hamas a chance.

That's all Jimmy Carter is saying, anyway.

(hat tip: opinion journal)
Some days I throw up my hands and ask how, how HOW was Jimmy Carter ever president of the United States?

Deal with the devil?
Oh, holy crap! This quote almost made me put my fist through the monitor.

Carter expressed hope that "the people of Palestine -- who already suffer ... under Israeli occupation -- will not suffer because they are deprived of a right to pay their school teachers, policemen, welfare workers, health workers and provide food for people."

“Suffer under Israeli occupation”!! Good grief! Has he noticed that in Gaza the suffering hasn’t improved though the “occupation” has ended? The source of their suffering has nothing to do with Israel and has everything to do with Palestinian leadership. He’s using all the buzzwords of the anti-America and anti-Israel fringe left. I keep asking if there is any terrorist or tyrant he has not said conciliatory things about. I said a year ago that he’s not fit for the position of former President, and I stand by that.
Oh, he's fit for former president, but only if the sole alternative is still-being-president.
Jimmy Carter is a moron.
