National polls are not irrelevant. It is highly unlikely that a 2% or 3% victory nationally would end in an Electoral College loss.
Nevertheless, the Fox poll is meaningless as it is not their serious poll; but a tracking poll they just began running this weekend. These daily tracking polls are notoriously flimsy and should be avoided.
